Waiting for input ...
Well, now I've gone and done it. I've started blogging. Only 8 years late, no less! Actually, this is hardly my first blog. My first blog existed back when "blog" was still a new word. You can see it here. That blog was part of the Acoustic Herring network (Acoustic Herring, of course, being the greatest rock band in the known universes.) You may notice I wrote a lot about monkeys. This blog won't be much different from that. The most significant difference will be the lack of graphic design stuff, since I don't actually do that anymore.
So what do I do?
Good question. I make stuff. More specifically, I make web applications. I use things like ColdFusion, Flex, AIR, Ajax and other geeky words. I develop on OS X, deploy on Linux, and beat Windows into submission when necessary. I follow tech trends, I read tech articles, I basically am a techy kind of guy. But underneath this cold, geeky exterior lies a complicated, also geeky individual. Yes, I do non-geek things as well. I've been practicing jujitsu for roughly six years. I brew my own beer. I make my own music (poorly.) I have two cats, whom you will assuredly grow to love. Yes, "fascinating" is often a word used to describe me. By whom, I have no idea, but I know it to be so.
Why should you care?
Beats me, this is the Internet, I don't think anybody cares. Nevertheless, I have taken a solemn oath, to strive to be both entertaining AND informative (I'm the 'Highlights for Kids' of the blogosphere!) And if that's not enough for you, how about... FREE ICE CREAM?! Well, too bad, there isn't any, but there will be plenty of posts about everything I mentioned above, and more. Oh, so much more. Plus, this will be one of the approximately 70 pages on the Internet which use proper spelling and grammar. Mostly, anyway. So, tune in, dear reader, and enjoy the ride.
